Yellow Day in Summer – A Burst of Sunshine at Nalandaa International School!
At Nalandaa International School, we believe in celebrating every moment of learning with joy, colour, and creativity. One such delightful event was our "Yellow Day" celebration, held during the bright summer season — a day that brought sunshine into every corner of our campus!
The colour yellow, symbolising happiness, energy, and warmth, was the star of the day. Our pre-primary and primary students came dressed in beautiful shades of yellow — from sunflower prints to lemony frocks and golden shirts, the whole school looked like a blooming field of joy!
The classrooms were decorated with cheerful yellow-themed cutouts—smiling suns, bananas, chicks, and honeybees. Teachers designed fun and engaging activities like:
-
Lemonade making to beat the summer heat
-
Yellow object treasure hunt
-
Handprint art using yellow paint
-
Storytelling sessions featuring sunny tales and yellow-themed characters
The students also participated in a “Yellow Show & Tell” activity, where they brought their favourite yellow objects from home and shared short descriptions about them. It was wonderful to watch their confidence grow as they spoke in front of their peers.
To wrap up the day, our little ones danced to peppy songs and enjoyed a cool treat of mango ice cream — a perfect end to a sunny celebration!
Yellow Day wasn’t just about colour; it was about bringing joy, encouraging self-expression, and making learning vibrant and memorable. Events like these reflect our commitment to nurturing young minds through experiential and holistic learning.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates from our vibrant campus life!
